LIST OF HIRE CHARGES AS OF 15th April 2022
The Unitarian Meeting House is normally available for hire from 8.00hrs until 23.00 hours Monday to Sunday. Very rarely by special permission it may be extended but no later than midnight.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
The person hiring the hall is liable for all hire fees whether the venue is used or not.
If sufficient notice of cancellation is given, part or all of the hire charge may be rebated at the discretion of the hall management.
The House Committee reserves the right to cancel booking as stated in the Terms and Conditions of Hire
Charges for equipment – per day:
The main hall is 12m x 13m, surrounded on three sides by a Gallery.
The Gallery, with it's 300 year old box pews, is sadly not open to the public.
The hall is licensed for the sale of alcohol and for regulated entertainment.
Flexible layout
Arrange the hall as you wish, using our high quality oak chairs for lecture-style seating, our trestle tables for seated meals or workshops.
Or just leave the space clear, perhaps for a standing buffet.
Capacities range from 120 people all standing to 80 people when tables are used - these numbers include all performers, catering staff etc as well as guests or audience.
The venue is accessible to wheelchair users, and to those who cannot climb steps, via the side doors. There is an accessible toilet.
A loop system is available for those using hearing aids.
